The combination of complex carbohydrates is the best for a carbohydrate-rich meal, to fill and keep glycogen stores (the body’s carbohydrate stores) in the muscles and liver high. Excellent for competitive athletes and for those who working in cold environments.
You can combine pasta with bread, potatoes with bread, rice with bread, pasta salad with whole grain crackers and corn, rice salad with corn and penne/fusilli/rigatoni pasta.
The combination of complex carbohydrates is not recommended for a weight loss diet (unless you also exercise) because it makes it difficult to lose weight.
